The Matthew Roland Foundation

Honoring the life and legacy of Captain Matthew Roland. December 24, 1987 – August 26, 2015

Captain Matthew Roland’s life was tragically taken when he died in combat protecting his team. An Air Force Special Tactics Officer (Combat Control Officer), Capt. Matthew Roland’s life and legacy are honored through the Matthew Roland Foundation, which funds a variety of opportunities for young servicemen and women, including leadership camps, scholarships and tactical training opportunities.

Honoring Matthew’s Life & Service

At the heart of all we do here is Matthew. Our primary goal is to honor his life, service and ultimate sacrifice by building up and equipping the next generation of leaders. This includes scholarship opportunities and answering the call to help young servicemen and women.

Continue Lexington Catholic High School Scholarships

Matthew’s formative years were spent at Lexington Catholic High School. After Matthew’s death, the school was instrumental in helping the family organize memorial services. We are committed to maintaining our partnership with Lexington Catholic High School by continuing to increase the scholarship monies available yearly.

Financially Supporting the Next Generation of Leaders

Financially supporting students at the Intrepid Leadership Camp and West Point’s Sandhurst Competition is at the heart of our mission to build up the next generation of leaders. Our financial support enables Gold Star family members to attend these camps for free.
